Staff

We have been in the business for many years and have accumulated a very strong, reliable, caring and knowledgeable staff. The staff attends workshops throughout the year to keep up on the latest styles and techniques. Here is our talented staff:

Miya Rollenhagen (owner): Miya has been instructing dance & gymnastics for 29 years. She is Safety Certified, holds her Meet Director’s Certification and is a member of USA Gymnastics. Her philosophy is to help surface creative abilities in all students so that they can discover their own creative processes and potential that can be used in everyday life. Miya is married and has 2 children.

 Erin Aldrink: Erin has been a member of our staff for 4 years now. She's a senior at North Muskgon High School and is involved in Softball and dance. Once in college she hopes to pursue either science or dance. Regardless of what she decides, she hopes to continue dancing through college.

Anna Alpert: Anna has been on our staff since 1977. Anna has a degree in education. Anna has been affiliated with the Miss Michigan and Miss Muskegon Ottawa Pageants. Anna has passed her Professional Intermediate Teachers Certificate in ballet. She also enjoys teaching character and ethnic dancing. Anna is married and has 3 children.

Kailey Baker: Kailey began teaching with us this summer and is continuing this season. She is a junior at Mona Shores High School and is involved in competitive cheer.

Amber Bishop: Amber is a recent Spring Lake graduate and is attending Baker College to pursue business management. She became a staff member earlier this year and is continuing in the office this year.

Heather Greene: Heather joined our staff in 2000. She was a competitive gymnast in high school and a former coach of the Mona Shores Gymnastics Team. Heather is also active in dance.

Jade Heaton: Jade has been a member of our competitive gymnastic team in the past. She joinied our staff in 2005 and is a recreational gymnastics instructor. She currently attends Baker College and has 1 son.

Julie Jolman: Julie started at Cassell in 1999. Julie has been active in Muskegon Civic Theater and choreographed and performed in many of Overbrook Dance Theaters Programs. She is married and has one son.

Tobie Follet Nobile: Tobie has joined our staff in the year 2010. She started her dance career with Cassell Gymnastics and Dance until her family moved to Florida. While in Florida, Tobie went to Booker High School which is similar to the school in the movie "Fame". She was a competitive dancer and taught recreational and competitive dance at various dance studios in Florida.

Maria Peterson: Maria joined our staff in 2007. Her specialties are Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical. She teaches both recreational and competitive dance and is attending MCC.

Amy Richards:  Amy started dancing with us when she was in High School. She enjoyed it so much she became a part of our staff. After graduating from Western Michigan University she returned to teaching.  Amy teaches a variety of classes and has two children.

Darci Reinink: Darci joined our staff in 2004. She has been active in dance for many years. Darci was active in the Miss Muskegon Pageant over the years as a contestant or principal dancer. She has 2 children.

Carlin Rollenhagen: Carlin became a member of the staff in 2009. He is a junior at Mona Shores High School and is involved in choir, allegros, link crew, and other various extra cirricular activities.  

Karolyn Rollenhagen: Karolyn is a retired secretary for the Reeths Puffer school system. She didn’t like being “retired” and has joined our desk staff. She also happens to be Coach Miya’s Mother-In-Law.

Skylor Rundle: Skylor was a former competitive gymnast and currently takes dance with us. She joined our staff in 2009 and enjoys competitive cheerleading at Mona Shores High School.

Rachel Smith: Rachel has been a staff member since 2006.  She has taken 2 of her Teachers Ballet exams and has 2 children that keep her very busy.

Kimberly Sorenson: Kim joined our staff this season and is a recent graduate of Mona Shores High School. She was heavily involed in the choir, allegros, and players. This year she is also attending MCC for her generals and we're very happy to have her as a staff member this year.

Patti Winsemius: Patti has been involved in dance for many years.  She has 3 children. She teaches both recreational and competitive dance and brings musical theatre to life.
