Policies Late Fees: A $10.00 late fee will be added to your account if payment is not made by the 10th of each month. NO EXCEPTIONS! Withdrawals: If you must withdraw your child during the school year, you are required to have a written doctor's release or you will be bound to your contract. Holiday Closings: Classes will not be held on the following days: Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Break (12/23/07– 1/6/08), and Spring Break (4/6/08– 4/13/08) & Memorial Day. Please note: Christmas break and Spring break are not included in our contract so these classes do not need to be made up. All others may be made up. Missed Lessons: It is your responsibility to make up classes missed due to illness or vacations. If you are in gymnastics, your classes are to be made up in open gym on Saturdays from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Check with your instructors for classes to make up dance lessons. No exceptions or refunds will be given if you do not make up your classes. No make up lessons or credits will be given due to bad weather. This is an act of god and we are not held responsible. New Rule: If you miss 3 consecutive classes in a row after January1st, your child will not be able to participate in the dance show unless it is a medical condition. If this happens, NO costume money will be refunded either. In the past we have had children absent from class and this hurts the outcome of the dance and the class morale. Your child’s attendance is critical. No exceptions. Cancellations: Classes may be cancelled due to severe weather or other unforseen events. For day classes, check with local radio and TV stations and by calling our centers for a message on our recorder. For evening classes please call the center to see if the classes are running. A good rule of thumb for severe weather cancellations is if Mona Shores High School or Reeths Puffer High School is closed, our morning classes will not run. Adverse weather usually clears as the day progresses and evening classes should run. If you are in doubt, call the studios. No make up classes will be offered due to bad weather. Class Arrivals and Departures: Please have your child arrive no later than 5 minutes before class. We ask that you escort your child to and from the facility. Our parking lots get very busy and small children are hard to see. For your child's safety, we will not allow them to wait outside for you. Class Observation: Parents & guests are always welcome to observe classes. We do ask that parents keep an eye on siblings that come with you. We are not a babysitting service. Any disruptive noises can be distracting to the students and will not be tolerated. Visitors are not allowed in the gym or dance rooms at anytime. Student Progression: We are continually reviewing student abilities. The instructor will make recommendations to the parent when their child is ready to progress to the next level. All children progress at different rates, so please do not compare children. Annual Gymnastics Demonstration: On June 8, 2008, we have a demonstration in the gym with each student presenting routines and skills they learned throughout the year or in the 5th session. Each gymnast will receive a certificate and memento if they participate. Annual Dance Show: Our show will be the weekend of June 12th, 13th, and 14th at Mona Shores High School Auditorium. The theme is “Kaleidoscope of Colors ”. Pictures will be held on May 17th and 18th. Make sure to clear you calendars now. End of the Year: Our last lessons will be held on June 9th, 2008. Physical Touching: Since dance and gymnastics is a precise art it is necessary that our instructors many have to physically correct your child by putting their hands on your child’s bellies, buttocks, legs, arms etc. We do this so that the child becomes aware of the correct alignment which is required in both gymnastics and dance.
